Words that
move like
memory.

Badiana writes the stories that live in the body—the ones that start before language and end somewhere you didn't expect.

ABOUT

A writer who lives
in the work.

Badiana is a writer, poet, content creator, and people strategist whose work lives at the intersection of identity, wellness, and the stories women carry in their bodies.

She is the voice behind The Original Baddie and The Sister Field, two Substack publications that have cultivated a loyal community of readers who come for the writing and stay because it tells the truth.

Her essays have appeared in Carefree Magazine, and she is a featured contributor in Black Women in Bloom, a globally distributed limited-edition coffee table book. Her forthcoming literary essay collection, Thank You & You're Welcome: A Story of Sisterhood + Becoming, is currently in editorial development alongside A chapbook of poems; Dew Drop. She has also served as both a panelist and panel facilitator at the Furious Flower Poetry Conference and regularly performs at You, Me and Poetry, believing that the page and the stage are simply different expressions of the same room.

Beyond her creative work, Badiana brings more than a decade of experience building the human infrastructure that helps organizations thrive. Her career began in pharmaceutical marketing, evolved through renewable energy sales leadership, and eventually led her to People Operations, where analytical rigor and a deep investment in people found common ground.

She holds a Master's degree in Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver and has spent her professional career designing performance frameworks, engagement strategies, and the systems that reveal the stories hidden beneath the data.

This year, that same instinct for human infrastructure found a new room to work in. Badiana joined the board of Electric City Community Grocery, a community-owned food co-op working to bring downtown Schenectady its first grocery store in twenty-five years. Weeks after she came on board, the project secured two million dollars in state funding, closing a gap that had taken years to build toward. It's the same work, in a different room: systems that help people thrive, applied to something as foundational as food.

Her Haitian roots, global travels, and life as a writer all feed the same instinct: the ability to find common ground, communicate with clarity, and move people toward something true. Whether she is building organizational systems or writing essays that live in the body, the thread connecting her work has remained the same.

She leads with both rigor and human intuition, because the work has always required both.

Embodied.            ✶           Declarative.        ✶          Unmistakable.
